Installation & Activation

System Requirements

Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
Storage: 500 MB for application + space for downloaded videos
Internet: Broadband connection required

Installation Steps

Download: Visit the pricing page and download the installer (.exe file)
Run Installer: Double-click the downloaded file (BulkVideoDownloader_Setup.exe)
Accept License: Read and accept the license agreement
Choose Location: Select installation directory (default: C:\Program Files\Bulk Video Downloader)
Install: Click "Install" and wait for completion (30-60 seconds)
Launch: Check "Launch Bulk Video Downloader" and click "Finish"

License Activation

On first launch, you'll see the License Activation dialog
Enter your license key (received via email after purchase)
Click "Activate License"
Wait for confirmation (requires internet connection)
Your license is now activated and tied to this computer

Note: Each license works on ONE computer. To transfer your license, deactivate it on the old computer first via Settings → License → Deactivate.

How to Add URLs

Copy URL: Go to the video page, copy the URL from your browser's address bar
Paste in App: Click in the "Enter URLs (one per line)" text area
Add Multiple: Press Enter after each URL to add multiple videos
Validate: The app automatically validates URLs (invalid URLs show in red)

Bulk URL Import Methods

From Text File

Create a .txt file with one URL per line, then click "Import from File"

From Clipboard

Copy multiple URLs (one per line), click "Paste from Clipboard"

From CSV/Excel

Import URLs from spreadsheets (CSV format, URLs in first column)

Downloading Videos

Quality Settings

Choose your preferred video quality from the dropdown:

Best Quality: Highest available resolution (up to 8K for Lifetime plan)
1080p (Full HD): Standard high quality for most uses
720p (HD): Good balance of quality and file size
480p (SD): Smaller file size for mobile viewing
360p: Minimum quality for slow connections
Audio Only (MP3): Extract audio only, perfect for podcasts/music

Download Settings

Download Folder: Choose where videos are saved (default: Downloads/BulkVideoDownloader)
Concurrent Downloads: Set how many videos download simultaneously (3-10 recommended)
Auto-Organize: Automatically sort videos by platform (YouTube/Facebook/Instagram folders)
File Naming: Choose between "Original Title" or "Short Safe Names"

Starting Downloads

Add your URLs (see "Adding URLs" tutorial above)
Select quality from dropdown menu
Choose download folder (or use default)
Click "Start Download" button
Monitor progress in real-time (progress bars, speed, ETA)
Downloads complete automatically in background

Metadata Extraction & Export

What is Metadata?

Metadata is information about videos, including:

Title, description, tags
Uploader name and channel info
View count, like count, comment count
Upload date and duration
Video resolution and format
Thumbnail URL

Enable Metadata Extraction

Go to Settings → Advanced
Check "Extract metadata during download"
Metadata is now saved alongside each video

Export Metadata

Go to Download History tab
Select videos (Ctrl+Click for multiple, Ctrl+A for all)
Click "Export Metadata"
Choose format: CSV, JSON, or Excel
Save to desired location
